A sad situation and information about the HOARDER in Lucerne Valley. Animals are cold and starving cause the *W(%&#(% owner does not have enough money to buy food for them. San Bernardino Animal Control took them to Devore Shelter and had to kill at least 10 of them. Several are in danger of being killed tomorrow. They will go back and get more animals out of the ranch. The owner only lets few rescuers to get the animals of of her place. Many have donated . I posted so many message on Patch in Redlands / Loma Linda and Patch Temecula plus patch Murrieta but I guess no one read them LOL.. NO ONE responded. I posted to other SO CALL ANIMAL INTERVENTION ORGANIZATIONS BUT NO RESPOND EITHER. Have you heard of the OAS animals? They got big PR's and help with so much publicity. I reached out to several organizations, GoR, Best Friends, Best Friends LA, Downtown Dog Rescue, CARMA; no interests - no one wrote back or reply to me. I also posted messages on Patch (local only newspaper for Redlands-Loma Linda, Temecula, Murrieta) no one reacts to them. We just have to keep trying to save those animals. She should give them up to rescuer so SB A/C will not put them in the shelter.

* OAS is Olympic Animal Sanctuary in WA. Granted that was a horrific living condition for the animals. The publicity got plenty of helps and now they are finally free being cared for in Arizona. This Lucerne Valley situation is not good for the animals.. and no PR, not much help to get the owner to give up the animals. She needs to before the A/C get them to the shelter to kill.

SAVE / RESCUED 

I live in Temecula so I can only post messages and shared Facebook threads for these animals. I tried to network and helped with the ones that were taken in to Devore shelter. There was a situation in Riverside in early January 2013, with much better outcome. A Facebook group was created, similar to this one but some of the information posted by angry people on that group were not totally true. However most, if not all of those animals were saved because the owner had no choice but to give them up. (Except 5 or 6 of her own animals.) She was reported to Riverside AC and all the So Cal shelters and had her pull rights taken away; and she was reported to PETCO & PETSMART so she can no longer have the adoption events there. There was a big PR on Facebook pages and on local papers and even a TV station sent the camera van to her place. Finally the place was shut down within a few weeks. There was a hoarder in Apple Valley in mid 2013, but I was in hiatus with travelling to be with my mother in Thailand so I was not aware and have no idea what happened to that situation. This is a very sad situation and worse that there is no publicity except for this group and few postings on a Yahoo group. Yes, we have many rescuers on Facebook that are trying to help on their own but many are busy and have their own animals to save or to adopt out. Many in Devore were saved but many are in dangerous of being on EU even as of right now. I made few postings on Patch local papers. I also posted and begged on several LARGE FACEBOOK Animal Rescue / Intervention program and I also PM'd them BUT not one of them replied or responded.  This is a very sad situation and worse that there is no publicity except for this group and few postings on a Yahoo group.   • Terese Day The last time this happened, Devore sent dogs to Joshua Tree, I think. Not this time. No one even knows what dogs are on the property. RIP...

  • Lynn Gramer On one hand I understand how easy it is to accumulate abandon animals on the other hand the person has to fix it. So far the only thing we have to deal with it is the law sometime and then the not being allowed to do rescue within the community helps but once you are known to your neighbors as someone who takes animals it's hard to get away from...Hoarders need physiological help or it is going to keep happening...

  • Jieranai Maier I posted on Friends Of Freddie page and asked him to let us know in advance before they are in DANGER! I am sure there are many more. IT IS NOT FAIR THEY SAT THERE FOR MONTHS waiting and then KILLED WITHIN 5 Days? I WANT TO SCREAM!!

  • Jieranai Maier Riverside County A/C handled the California Riveside Hoarder (Jan 2013) much better, MOST of the dogs and cats are all rescued from the HOARDER's place within a week! I got to know that woman and she said she is not a hoarder. 100+ Dogs and 30+ Cats?

  • Lynn Gramer That is the problem they don't know that they are and it[s hard to convince them. They think they are rescuing them from a worst fate and having them taken and killed at a shelter only convinces them they are right..They don't see how it was their fault they only see they were taken and killed...

  • Jieranai Maier I have to say there were many rescuers who went to the Riverside facility and helped her cleaned up the dogs, cleaned up the place, fed the dogs and cats, took the dogs and cats. She reluctantly got rid of the dogs and cats from 125+ down to about 10 in one week. She did it before the A/C were going to come back and cited her. Or may be they threatened her with animal cruelty. Who knows... Lots of publicities back then too.
