- I'm having a real hard time digesting this story: A woman ordered the execution of approximately a dozen of her rescue dogs (Blutopia Rescue in Anza, CA). She admits having her handyman carry out the executions.
She admits then letting her pit bulls have a "field day" killing and maiming her chihuahuas.
Another rescuer goes to her property days ago to "save" the remaining animals. Tells no one ...but a small group of "insiders." Police are not involved; the rescuer and her handyman are now gone.
The "saving" rescuer releases 2 photos of dogs taken from Anza, but claims to have saved many plus cats and a horse, but only photos of 2 dogs have been released.
Police, as far as his accounting of the sequence of events goes, has still not been called; the Anza rescuer is disappeared, which I assert is because he kept this whole operation secret.
And now he's asking for money to take care of all of the animals?
Smells a lot like "second verse, same as the first."

Taunya filled in some holes in the story, but not enough in my own opinion, an opinion of which I am entitled. But let's get one thing straight - it is NOT Taunya's place, Kat's place, Kelley's place or anyone else's to explain the inconsistencies and holes. It is Ej's place. He is the one who went on this "media blitz" about this horrific situation, was very detailed in proclaiming his great deed, and then covered the holes with pictures of dead bodies. In the meanwhile, Susan is gawd knows where. On the one hand, Ej is not responsible to tell us anything - just like any rescue is not responsible to give an accounting to the whole world on every dog they rescue. But when someone is asking for what is conceivably a lot of money from the public to vet 40 dogs, I think the accounting needs to be provided. JUST MY OPINION. And so, based on that opinion, I will not send any money to Ej for these dogs. I don't know that all those dogs are Susan's dogs and it's not my responsibility to take his word. There are people here I trust --- Kat Trabert - if you tell me you have some of those dogs, I believe you. Until blocked, I took Taunya at her word that she has 6 of the dogs. If YOU need help, Kat, let me know and I'll do what I can to help YOU with these dogs. But the blanket plead and collection of money for dogs he himself is not accounting for is unethical and APPEARS shady.
I'll say it one more time: If ANY of you saw a plea for money on a dog that someone was not producing a freedom photo on with a corresponding shelter photo (or similar situation), and you didn't know this rescuer OR heard questionable references about the rescuer, YOU would be screaming YOUR heads off as well. Just because he is a 501c3 doesn't mean he is a legitimate rescue, Bluetopia was/is also a 501c3 and I have filed a complaint with the state regarding Bluetopia. Oasis is a boarding facility not a rescue. Perhaps I would have helped rescue the dogs had EJ and friends not chosen to cover it up, now they just want money. They refuse to divulge the name of the vet caring for the dogs as well. Again with vendetta, no I do not, I just do not like rescues who do not or refuse to say were they are sending dogs they "rescue". Vendetta for what? Kat Trabert So he took in 36 dogs that were living, 3 cats, 2 horses and some chickens. 15 dogs (including poor Dot) died. That would be approximately 51 dogs and numerous other animals on the property when all of this started happening.
